Hourly work for large urban forest management sites / Municipality of Hollola

The subject of the procurement is an hourly work contract for large urban forest management sites of the Municipality of Hollola. The procurement includes 11 mandatory items to be bid on and priced. All hourly work items included in the contract will be carried out in a demanding urban environment. The contract will be made for the period from May 1, 2026, to April 30, 2027. The contract includes a 2-year option period, during which the contract can be extended until April 30, 2029. The Municipality of Hollola will decide on the use of the option period by March 1, 2027. Prices will be linked to the Forest Machine and Vehicle Transport Index and will be reviewed annually in April. The Municipality of Hollola owns approximately 2100 hectares of forest in the Salpakangas area, Hämeenkoski, and Vesikansa. The municipality sells timber to the forest industry annually for approximately 0.5 million euros. All forest management work types are ordered from private service providers. The estimated annual yield according to the plan is approximately 4000 cubic meters per year (total of timber, energy wood, and crown mass cubic meters). The Municipality of Hollola has the right to order hourly work and contract-based forest management work outside of this contract. Sites outside the contract include, for example, trees on leased land owned by the municipality, individual hazardous trees removed from roadsides and urban forests, individual storm-felled trees, or trees felled during the management of public areas. Sites outside this contract may also include road construction sites, pipelines, power lines, school yards, and other small-scale infrastructure sites.
