University of Southern Denmark - Cleaning Service & Window Cleaning

Cleaning service and window cleaning at approx. 14 locations under the University of Southern Denmark (SDU). SDU is a self-governing institution that is financially and administratively dependent on the State and subject to the currently applicable executive order on universities (university act). SDU currently has 6 campuses, with the largest campus located in Odense. The remaining 5 campuses are located in Esbjerg, Kolding, Vejle, Sønderborg, and Copenhagen. SDU also has a number of smaller locations around Denmark, as well as in Flensburg, Germany. More information about all SDU locations can be found at www.sdu.dk. Cleaning service for SDU includes ongoing interior room cleaning and cleaning-related service tasks. Room types include, among others, auditoriums, classrooms, reading rooms, study spaces, canteen areas/lunch rooms, administrative areas in the form of offices, meeting rooms, and group rooms, laboratories, including GMO laboratories class 1 and 2, isotope class B and C, as well as biological agents class 1 and section rooms, etc. Window cleaning includes interior and exterior facade glass, as well as cleaning of internal glass and skylights, etc. Cleaning service and window cleaning are currently performed by external suppliers (the scope of the tender is shown in tender document A). Contract documents 2 and 3 with appendices contain a detailed description of the tendered service. The tender is not divided into sub-contracts. This is due to a desire for a uniform quality and service level across SDU's locations, the need for efficient coordination and management of cleaning and window cleaning services, and the desire to reduce the administrative costs associated with contract management, follow-up, and invoicing. Furthermore, it is assessed that a consolidated contract provides opportunities for economies of scale and more flexible resource allocation between locations, benefiting both operations and finances.
