Design of the reconstruction of the Száva tram depot hall

Budapest's public transport will be supplemented from 2024 with an additional 46 modern low-floor CAF 3/5 and 5 CAF 3/9 type vehicles. It is necessary to upgrade the depots and buildings that maintain the vehicles. With the procurement of new vehicles, the Száva depot will be responsible for storing and fully maintaining the 20 short (34 m) trams transferred from Budafok, in addition to the full maintenance of the existing 22 CAF 3/5 and 100 TW6000 vehicles. The expansion of the depot equipment will be necessary to accommodate the new vehicles. The depot was partially modernized and developed in 2015-16 to be suitable for operating CAF vehicles. The maintenance system of the Száva depot was modernized between 2014-2016 in connection with the first delivery of CAF trams, corresponding to their quantity. The 51 new trams currently under production justify the development of existing maintenance capacities, ensuring the maintenance and care of vehicles on additional tracks. Today's operating technology, within the time frame and track layout available during the night shutdown, does not allow for the necessary level of service for all trams. The storage capacity of the vehicle depot will remain sufficient following the fleet development, and the arrival of new vehicles will allow for the significant scrapping of the now outdated TW6000 vehicles. The designer's task is to fully implement the design tasks presented. The following design tasks need to be performed, which are detailed in the technical description: - Design of 200 meters of track - Extension of 1 roof podium - Design of 1 new roof podium - Design of 1 overhead crane - Design of 1 slewing crane · Geotechnical investigation and plan, as well as utility network plan. · The requirements of the Road Railway Infrastructure Design Guidelines must be followed during the design. · Preparation of combined approval and execution plans · Obtaining all final administrative permits - including all consents and approvals - as well as building permits, bearing their costs. · Cooperation in carrying out the tasks related to public information and involvement as defined in the Documentation. · Preparation of materials for management information. · Preparation of tender documents for construction. - If the construction of the planned works is put out to tender within two years of the permits becoming enforceable, the winning tenderer must cooperate in answering questions asked by tenderers during the public procurement procedure for construction, at the request of the Client. The winning tenderer must cooperate mutually with the clients and contracted contractors of related investments that form part of further procedural stages.
