Electrification of the Szombathely-Kőszeg railway line

Electrification of the Szombathely-Kőszeg national importance railway line. Main tasks to be performed: • Construction of a 15 kV, 50 Hz AC single-phase railway overhead line system requiring a building permit, as follows: electrification of a single-track branch line on railway line No. 18 for approximately 17 track-kilometers, construction of a 25 kV, 50 Hz AC single-phase railway overhead line system, with an authorized speed of 80 km/h; • Reconstruction of 15 railway level crossing barrier systems, (line) interlocking systems, and modifications due to electrification, including necessary modifications to the railway track; • Necessary modification and expansion of GYSEV's interlocking systems, traffic control systems (KÖFE, KÖFI), as well as railway lighting and railway telecommunication facilities; • Construction of the power supply for the railway overhead line system of line 18 by modifying the existing 25kV – 50 Hz railway overhead line system at Szombathely station; • Plans required for integration into the GYSEV FET system (overhead line, area lighting); • Establishment of 1 piece of 100 kVA pole transformer at Kőszeg station; • Comprehensive execution of modifications in non-railway telecommunication and power networks due to electrification at 16 locations; • Ensuring compliance of the works with the technical specifications for interoperability (ÁME); • Planning for construction and temporary facilities; • Preparation of as-built plans. The subject procedure includes activities requiring a building permit as specified in the KD. The detailed scope of work is included in the KD.
