Technical Equipment

This tender concerns the provision of technical equipment for new buildings to be constructed in Cottbus for two DLR institutes: the Institute for Electrified Aviation Propulsion (EL) and the Institute for Low-CO2 Industrial Processes (DI). These institutes were established based on a resolution by the German Bundestag. The DLR plans to erect these new facilities on approximately 11,000m² of land north of the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg campus. The project involves constructing the two institutes, a shared conference building, and a testing hall. While these structures will be built in close proximity and form a cohesive complex, they will maintain their distinct technical and functional independence. A separate DLR project (Project Infra) will handle the full development of the site and its immediate surroundings. The total gross floor area of the complex will be approximately 9,400m², accommodating around 150 office workstations, four laboratories, workshops, the testing hall, and a conference room of about 200m². The scope of services covers the technical building equipment for all system groups, including specialized process-related systems for AG 3 and 7, with interfaces to user-side experimental facilities. In addition to a comprehensive needs and basic determination, as detailed in the contract conditions, a differentiated cost framework has been established. The budget for Cost Group 400 amounts to EUR 10.818 million (net), of which approximately EUR 2.1 million is allocated for the process-related technical equipment.
