Terminal and Transport Services for Pirkanmaan Voimia

Tuomi Logistiikka Oy is conducting a procurement process on behalf of Pirkanmaan Voimia for terminal and transport services. These services are intended for the operational sites of Pirkanmaan Voimia's care business. The selected service provider will operate a terminal where loads from goods suppliers will be received. These loads will be consolidated with meal deliveries from production kitchens, Kori e-commerce products from Tuomi's warehouse, and grocery shopping bags from Prisma. The goal is to create consolidated, site-specific loads, thereby reducing the total number of deliveries to each location. The service provider's terminal must be located in Tampere or its surrounding municipalities. From the terminal, these consolidated loads will be transported to service and regional kitchens, as well as delivery points located in Tampere and neighboring municipalities. This terminal service aims to ensure a uniform product selection and suitable delivery days for all locations within the region. A detailed description of the services is provided in the Service Description (Appendix 2) attached to the request for proposals, and a list of delivery locations can be found in Transport Appendix (Appendix 4). The target commencement date for the service is between March and June 2025, with the exact start date to be determined after the procurement decision becomes legally binding. The initial contract period is two (2) years, with the possibility of extending it into an indefinite-term contract by mutual agreement. Potential bidders are encouraged to independently visit the customer delivery sites to assess the varying yard and loading conditions. Any questions arising from these site visits must be submitted through the Tarjouspalvelu platform by the deadline for additional information requests.
