Description

The Gateway School are seeking a management partner for their joint use leisure facilities. The facilities include a 20m x 6m swimming pool, 10-station gym, 2-court and 1-court sports hall, sand-based MUGA (floodlit) and an astroturf pitch.
The contract commences in September 2026 and is for 10 years with an option to extend for two additional period of up to 5 years. The total possible contract duration, including extension provisions will be 20 years. The procurement will be based on a lean single staged process.

The Gateway School "The School" is located in Tiffield village, West Northamptonshire. It is part of the Creating Tomorrow Academy Trust (CTT) which manages five schools and a college.
The School is a special secondary academy which can accommodate a total of 118 pupils aged 11-16 years with behavioural, emotional and social difficulties. It also caters for students with an Educational Healthcare Plan.
The core leisure facilities include a 20m x 6m swimming pool, 10-station gym, 2-court and 1-court sports hall, sand-based MUGA (floodlit) and an astroturf pitch. The School has recently benefitted from an investment of £5.5m by West Northamptonshire Council into the expansion and refurbishment of its facilities, including its sport and leisure facilities.
The School is seeking a partner operator to manage the facilities. The operator will be required to make the facilities available for use by The Gateway School, Tiffield Academy, other local schools, and the wider community outside of school hours (during term time).
