Description
As part of the Integrated Care Board's on-going ambition to improve outcomes for children and young people across Norfolk and Waveney, a review identified inequitable access to Specialist Epilepsy Nursing. Current provision across the three Acute Trusts is inconsistent, with varying staffing models.
This investment will align services with RCPCH recommendations. Recurrent investment for a Band 7 Paediatric Specialist Epilepsy Nurse (1.0 WTE) at the QEHKL has been agreed to support a consistent, sustainable epilepsy nursing model across Norfolk and Waveney, ensuring equitable access, improved outcomes, and a reduction in health inequalities for children and young people with epilepsy.
The effective date for this modification is 1/3/26 and the value is £5357.75
