Request for Bid (RFB)
- The Government of Tonga has received financing from the World Bank (Bank) toward the cost of the Tonga Safe and Resilient Schools Project (TSRSP) and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for the Construction of School Facilities on LOT1 GMS Atele, LOT2 GMS Fatai, LOT3 GMS Fua’amotu, LOT4 GPS Hala’ovave, LOT5 GMS Popua and LOT6 GMS Tu'aliku'o Pilolevu.
- The Time for Completion for the whole of the Works shall be no longer than 9 months or 12 months for multiple lots.
- The Ministry of Education and Training now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for retrofitting and new construction of school facilities at the above location. Retrofit works include structural strengthening, architectural replacement and improvements, electrical replacements and improvement and the construction of new facilities at each school lot.
- A pre-Bid meeting shall take place at the following date, time and place: 10:00am local time at the Ministry of Education and Training (MET) Conference Room, on Wednesday, 23rd September 2026.
Submission of Bids
- Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before 02:00pm, 23rd October 2026. Electronic Bidding will not be permitted. Late Bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the Bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend at the address below.
- All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid-Securing Declaration.
