Background: "Romantischer Rhein Tourismus GmbH" is responsible for the tourist region of the Middle Rhine Valley between Bingen and Remagen on the left bank and Rüdesheim and Unkel on the right bank. The core themes of the tourist region include "Nature and Activity". The following projects are defined in the potential analysis of tourist infrastructure: 1. Start/finish/stage portals Rheinsteig/RheinBurgenWeg and 2. Cycling loops for pleasure cyclists. The RRT GmbH, as coordinator of regional tourism infrastructure projects, would now like to take on these. For further procedure in project 1. Start/finish/stage portals Rheinsteig/RheinBurgenWeg, the following steps are planned: - Involvement, coordination and ongoing communication with the local partners to be involved, both regarding the overall concept and the location concept. - Development of a concept for the project idea presented in the potential analysis. This must take into account, among other things: location requirements, aesthetic requirements, size of installations, materials to be used, content elements, required land area, municipalities for the portal locations. The result should be summarized in a written concept with explanations of the background, objectives, procedure, and results. - Determination of locations, including informing the relevant municipality about the plans for the portal locations in the respective area (ideally on public land for uncomplicated implementation), determination of the final locations in on-site appointments, coordination of the planned locations with the Lower Nature Conservation Authority (possibly with other specialist authorities to be involved). - Recording of the final locations in an overview map/cadastre. - Preparation of a cost estimate for a subsequent implementation phase, including construction supervision, construction acceptance, etc. The procedure described here is necessary to concretize the rough information in the potential analysis, to specify the type and scope of the overall project in advance of implementation steps, and thus to derive concrete implementation scenarios for individual locations. The support of an external planning office is required for the structured and technically supported implementation of the above work steps. For the project Cycling loops for pleasure cyclists, the following next steps are planned: - Technical preparation of the local tourism professionals and other stakeholders to be involved, technical preparation of criteria for evaluating route suggestions, development of route suggestions, involvement of the regional cycling working group, coordination of initial route ideas, development/naming of route suggestions by the tourism professionals (max. 2 per municipality). - Digitization and evaluation of all route suggestions in GIS, initial assessment of max. 100 km route length on-site in the form of spot checks (approx. 20 working hours) to assess the suitability of the route suggestions for further processing. Evaluation of route suggestions based on maps, local knowledge, and the aforementioned spot checks using an evaluation matrix and cartography (recommendation of a prioritization), documentation and summary of the selection process, including evaluation matrix and cartography. - Coordination and final selection of 10 routes to be ridden together with the local level - Initial ride according to HBR, riding of up to 10 routes with 40 to 80 km route length (average 60 km, approx. 600 km total route to be ridden), creation of a clear initial ride documentation including photographic representation of defects, description and recommendation for repair in a traffic light system, discussion of the results and determination of the routes to be retained in the project. - Preparation of cost estimates per road authority for HBR signage and for structural measures. - Summarization of the results in a written concept with explanations of the background, objectives, and procedure. 7.
