Le projet IMAJE d'une durée de 36 mois est subventionné à hauteur de 80 % de FEDER (Fonds Européen de développement régional). Il se clôturera en décembre 2027 s'adresse principalement à des jeunes entre 11 et 17 ans scolarisés en collèges, lycées agricoles et lycées professionnels et des jeunes sous protection de l'enfance. Il consiste à favoriser la découverte du territoire alpin et ses principaux enjeux par le biais d'un programme de sensibilisation et de mise en pratique sur le terrain avec des interviews de scientifiques, d'élus, d'acteurs économiques et etc. Des rencontres entre élèves des différents établissements scolaires engagés dans le projet et entre acteurs éducatifs sont organisées durant toute l'année scolaire.
