Description

SFRFP 260040, Preliminary Design for Truck Rest Areas,Project Description: TThe Saskatchewan Ministry of Highways (Ministry) requires a Consultant to complete a preliminary design of four proposed truck rest areas.The four locations included in the study are:C.S. 1-22 at the Alberta borderC.S. 1-21 at Maple CreekC.S. 1-19 at Gull LakeC.S. 1-15 at Ernfold.Two of the locations are existing rest areas which require upgrades and two of the locations are brand-new sites. The study will determine the appropriate configuration and functionality of each truck rest area/roadside turnout, including access control.Once the preliminary design is complete, the Ministry may add a second stage of work to the project, which would include detailed design and tender package preparation for one of the truck rest areas/roadside turnout locations. The scope of work outlined in the attached Schedule A does not include any detailed design scope items; however, the rates submitted by the Consultant as part of the financial submission will be used for the second stage (detailed design), if necessary.Category of Work: Transportation Planning & Design-Surfacing Prequalified Consultants being held in a probationary status at time of competition close and evaluation, should reference the Professional Services Procurement Manual - PSPM 100-04 for additional information pertaining to their eligibility to participate in this competition.
