Formålet med Aftalen er at etablere et tæt samarbejde mellem Forsvarets Materiel- og Indkøbsstyrelse ("FMI") og Leverandøren om produktion af nye danske faner (Initialanskaffelse) samt løbende udskiftning og reparationer af eksisterende og nye faner (faste årlige anskaffelser og optionelle årlige anskaffelser) i hele aftalens løbetid (Produktions- og Reparationsfasen).
