Execution of task 'Orgaan van de Woonplaats' (Body of the Place of Residence)

On the basis of the European social security regulation, bilateral social security treaties, the EEA Agreement, the Rhine Boatmen Convention, the agreement between the EU and Switzerland, and the Trade and Cooperation Agreement between the EU and the United Kingdom, foreign insured persons from the affiliated countries who reside in the Netherlands (around 40,000 people) are entitled to medical care at the expense of the country where they are insured. These individuals are not insured in the Netherlands and do not pay premiums here. If they require care in the Netherlands, that care is organized by the so-called 'Orgaan van de Woonplaats'. See the Descriptive Document for a further description of the assignment. Based on experience figures from recent years and expected future needs, the scope of the Assignment has been estimated. The estimated value of the Assignment is between €2.5 million and €5.5 million per year (excluding VAT and price indexing) per year, thus between €25 million and €55 million (excluding VAT and price indexing) over a maximum period of ten years. To prevent the contractual maximum value from being exceeded during the term and the Service Agreement from losing effect before the intended end of its term, we conclude the Service Agreement with a maximum order value of €55 million (excluding VAT and price indexing). Factors that may influence the actual scope include natural fluctuations in demand, political and administrative developments, and developments in public debate on specific topics. Therefore, the (scope of the) Assignment and/or the services under the Service Agreement may change without resulting in a material change to the Assignment.
