Die Gemeinde Weingarten (Baden) mit rund 10.500 Einwohnern betreibt das Wasserwerk Schmalenstein in der Jöhlinger Straße. Seit dem Jahr 1956 wird diese gemeindeeigene Wasserversorgung in Weingarten betrieben. Das Trinkwasser wird aus einem Einzugsgebiet mit zwei Brunnen gewonnen, über eine CARIX®-Anlage aufbereitet und über mehrere Hochbehälter in das Ortsnetz abgegeben. Um die zukünftige Wasserversorgung der Gemeinde Weingarten zu gewährleisten bzw. zur Überprüfung und Überarbeitung des aktuellen Versorgungskonzepts wurde 2022 in Form eines Strukturgutachtens eine Bedarfsplanung erstellt werden. Die Studie kommt zum Ergebnis, dass der Austausch der bestehenden Anlage durch eine Umkehrosmose (LPRO) mit gewünschter Kapazität das Verfahren der Wahl darstellt. Neben der Umkehrosmose ist auch eine Erweiterung der Aufbereitung durch ein Absetzbecken und eine zweite Reinwasserkammer erforderlich. Die Gesamtkosten für die Realisierung der Niederdruckumkehrosmose (LPRO) werden auf rund 5,5 Mio. € brutto geschätzt. Die für die Realisierung der Maßnahme erforderlichen Planungsleistungen zur Technischen Ausrüstung und der Objektplanung sind Bestandteil dieses Vergabeverfahrens.
