Environmentally Friendly Maintenance Cleaning in the Modulbau Building Complex of the German Bundestag

This tender concerns the provision of maintenance cleaning, as well as other cleaning services and special cleaning operations, within the Modulbau (MODB) service building of the German Bundestag. The scope of the contract also includes the removal of snow and ice accumulation from the MODB building. The MODB is a complex structure composed of approximately 400 modules, primarily serving as office space for Members of Parliament and associated administrative service offices. Given its function, the property demands a high standard of representative appearance. The services encompass the cleaning of offices, meeting rooms, kitchenettes, traffic areas, and sanitary facilities. Annually, a total cleaning area of 2,719,553.84 square meters is to be maintained. This area is broken down into: 58.30% primary usable space, 5.95% secondary usable space, and 35.75% traffic areas. A detailed breakdown of room types is provided in section 6.1.1 of the tender documents. Maximum quantities for specific cleaning services are stipulated for pricing purposes. For price items 1.1 and 1.6, the quantities specified in the price list apply. For special services detailed under price items 1.2 and 1.4, the maximum quantities over the entire contract duration are as follows: for item 1.2.1, 12,600 hours; 1.2.2, 270 hours; 1.2.3, 1,350 hours; 1.2.4, 135 hours; 1.2.5, 135 hours; 1.2.6, 1,080 hours; 1.2.7, 135 hours; for item 1.4.1, 540 m²; 1.4.2, 540 m²; 1.4.3, 5,400 m²; 1.4.4, 5,400 m²; and 1.4.5, 5,400 m². Payment will be based solely on the actual hours worked or the actual area cleaned, with no minimum service level guaranteed.
