Description

The University of Calgary intends to award a contract for the supply of a virtual fencing and livestock management solution for use at W.A. Ranches. The requested solution is required to support both ranch operations and related research activities. The University requires a solution capable of providing reliable virtual containment and livestock guidance, precise virtual boundary placement, dependable connectivity across remote grazing areas, access to operational and research data, and implementation support appropriate for ranch deployment. Based on the requesting unit’s market review, the University has identified Halter as the only known supplier currently able to meet the complete combination of mandatory operational, technical, connectivity, research, implementation, and animal-management requirements for this procurement.
