Description

The University of Calgary (UCalgary) intends to purchase an autonomous medical platform, including a three-year software licence agreement, from Cobionix Corporation for its CODI Cobot system. The Cumming School of Medicine (CSM) requires a platform to support greater standardization in breast and axilla ultrasound examinations for breast cancer patients following neo-adjuvant therapy. Current ultrasound examinations can vary due to operator technique, probe pressure, probe angle, sweep path, and patient positioning. This variability may affect consistency across examinations and limit the ability to compare imaging results over time. The required platform must support consistent ultrasound scanning by maintaining controlled movement, repeatable probe positioning, and logged probe force/pressure during the examination. It must also capture synchronized imaging, positional, force, and trajectory data to support downstream analysis, reproducibility auditing, and research use. The CODI platform is an autonomous medical robotic system designed to support patient-facing clinical and research workflows, including robotic-assisted ultrasound scanning, patient guidance, and procedure support. CSM will use the system to improve consistency and reliability in ultrasound examinations. Commodity Categories: Laboratory and Measuring and Observing and Testing Equipment, Measuring and observing and testing instruments Delivery Region: Alberta, Calgary
