University of Calgary - Advanced Contract Award Notice / Notice of Proposed Procurement - High Fidelity Birthing Simulation Manikin
Description
The University of Calgary (UCalgary) intends to purchase MamaAnne birthing patient simulators, including birthing baby with placenta, operating software, C-section module, laptop and accessories, patient monitor, warranty & service plan, and on-site installation from Laerdal Medical Canada Ltd. The MamaAnne simulator is the newest generation, high-fidelity birthing patient simulator designed to support simulation-based nurse training across perinatal and obstetric nursing care education. The simulator is highly realistic and clinically relevant, can be deployed rapidly, and features a unique modular design for ease of operation, durability, and ease of maintenance & repair. To maintain full compatibility, operational efficiency, and continuity of training, Faculty of Nursing Clinical Simulation Learning Centre (CSLC) requires these new MamaAnne simulators to replace aging units. Additionally, these new simulators are fully compatible with existing simulation designs and themes without requiring additional programming, ensuring continuity in meeting curricular objectives and training consistency. It is the learning centreโs understanding that only Laerdalโs product is capable of meeting their operational and educational needs.
