Pest control in Western Hungary

Under a framework contract for business, pest control activities against insect pests and pathogens appearing on trees and shrubs along the road network managed by Magyar Közút Nonprofit Zrt.: express and non-express roads, roads within settlements, and cycle paths, as well as the performance of pest control activities against insect pests and pathogens, and the performance of injections for the preventive protection of common horse chestnut trees against fungal diseases, leaf browning, and powdery mildew, based on individual orders. Part 1: Chemical pest control in Western Hungary (framework amount: HUF 20,500,000), planned for the following estimated quantities (m2 and/or pcs) - shrub (m2) spraying: 31,053 m2; - horse chestnut tree (pcs) spraying: 44 pcs; - tree (pcs) spraying under 10m: 1,287 pcs; - tree (pcs) spraying over 10m: 322 pcs; - horse chestnut injection (pcs): 59 pcs. The contracting authority draws attention to the fact that the above quantities are for the information of the tenderers only and are not to be considered an exact quantitative statement of the actual orders to be fulfilled under the contract. The contracting authority reserves the right to place orders for the task to be performed in any quantitative distribution within the framework amount, regardless of the preliminary indicative quantities. Chemical pest control is not required along the entire length of the national road network, only on road sections and locations ordered by the county directorates, depending on the expected pest outbreaks. Method of procedure: By applying an insecticide or a combined insecticide and fungicide sprayed onto the crown, according to case-by-case/individual orders. The application shall be carried out using an air-atomizing sprayer capable of at least 30 meters lifting height to ensure adequate coverage and reach higher trees. Requirements for the selected plant protection products: - have a knockdown effect to effectively control pests - have a long-lasting effect for durable results - growth inhibitor or chitin synthesis inhibitor - can be applied in combination to achieve the desired effect, with free choice of approved insecticides and fungicides - the chemical treatment should be carried out using a mixture of systemic plant protection products. The warranty period is 1 month. For horse chestnut trees, the warranty period for injection treatment is 1 year. In accordance with legal regulations, the chemical to be used must have a valid marketing and usage permit. If this permit can be found in the NÉBIH's database of approved plant protection products, this must be declared in the offer. Otherwise, the necessary permit(s) must be presented in full to the contracting authority's representative before the start of performance. Individual specifications for use must be observed in all cases. Individual orders can be placed until the net framework amount specified in the contract is exhausted, but no later than 12 months from the effective date of the contract.
