Endoscopy Supply Contract IEZ

Over 11,000 endoscopic procedures are performed annually at the Interdisciplinary Endoscopy Center (IEZ). These examinations take place in the center's six rooms and with three mobile units used externally in intensive care units, operating rooms, or emergency procedure rooms. The currently planned equipment pool includes 18 gastroscopes (15 existing), 10 colonoscopes (7 existing), 6 duodenoscopes (2 existing), 9 echoendoscopes (5 existing), 3 bronchoscopes, and 1 balloon enteroscope (existing). In 2025, out of a total of 11,400 examinations, 1,640 procedures were performed as external interventions for urgent indications or emergency situations. These interventions often require multiple devices. The compatibility of processors and devices at any time and in any location increases flexibility, ensures timely examination, and enhances patient safety. Furthermore, it reduces the error rate. The flexible use of devices is particularly important as the calculated equipment inventory is at the lower limit; a delay in an examination due to a lack of device compatibility would therefore be associated with a reduction in patient safety.
