Väylävirasto pyytää tarjoustanne rakennusurakasta "Vt 4 Vestonmäen kohta, Joutsa ja Toivakka, ST-urakka". Urakkaan sisältyy rakentamissuunnittelu ja rakentaminen siinä laajuudessa kuin se on tarjouspyynnössä ja sen liitteinä olevissa asiakirjoissa määritelty. Hankealue sijoittuu vilkasliikenteiselle valtatielle 4 Joutsan ja Toivakan kuntien alueella. Valtatie 4 (E75) on valtakunnallisesti ja kansainvälisesti tärkeä etelä- pohjoissuuntainen maantieyhteys ja Suomen merkittävin yhteys pääkaupunkiseudulta Keski-Suomen kautta Pohjois-Suomeen. Valtatie 4 on tärkeä osa Suomen maanteiden runkoverkkoa (palvelutasoluokka I) ja se kuuluu TEN-T ydinverkkoon. Valtatiellä 4 kulkee erittäin paljon pitkänmatkan raskasta liikennettä kuljettaen mm. kaupan, teollisuuden ja huoltovarmuudelle tärkeitä kuljetuksia. Urakka sisältää valtatien 4 parantamisen Joutsa ja Toivakan kunnan alueella, Vestonmäen kohdalla. Valtatie parannetaan pääosin nykyiselle paikalleen. Urakassa parannetaan nykyinen Vestonmäen ohituskaistaosuus keskikaiteelliseksi ja parannetaan samalla valtatien 4 vaaka- ja pystygeometriaa. Lisäksi urakassa rakennetaan Soimaharjuntien liittymä yksityisteiden eritasoliittymäksi ja samalla järjestellään uusiksi nykyisiä yksityistiejärjestelyitä. Urakka on kokonaishintaperusteinen suunnittele ja toteuta -urakka (ST-urakka). Urakan sisältö on kuvattu tarkemmin tarjouspyyntöasiakirjoissa.
