- The Cooperative Republic of Guyana has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Guyana Strengthening Human Capital Through Education (HCP) and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for the Supply, Delivery, Installation and Commissioning of Welding Equipment & Tools (Government Technical Institute). The Ministry of Education now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for Supply, Delivery, Installation and Commissioning of Welding Equipment & Tools (Government Technical Institute). The delivery period is expected to be four months from contract signature.
- Bidding will be conducted through international competitive procurement using a Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bankās āProcurement Regulations for IPF Borrowersā Project Financing Goods, Works, Non-Consulting and Consulting Services, Seventh Edition September 2025. (āProcurement Regulationsā) and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations.
- The bidding document in English may be obtained by interested bidders upon the submission of written letter via e-mail to hcp.procurement@moe.gov.gy . Bidders are required to indicate business name, an e-mail address, and contact person in their letter, where the bidding package can be sent to the bidders.
- Bids must be delivered to the address on or before 09:00hrs on Tuesday July 14, 2026. Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the bidders, representatives and anyone who chooses to attend at the address below before 09:00hrs on Tuesday July 14, 2026. The outer Bid envelopes marked āORIGINAL BIDā, and the inner envelopes marked āTECHNICAL PARTā will be publicly opened in the presence of the Biddersā designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend, at the address 1 below All envelopes marked āFINANCIAL PARTā shall remain unopened and will be held in safe custody of the Employer until the second public Bid opening
- All Bids must be accompanied with Bid Security of USD$10,530.00 or GYD$2,195,505.00, which shall be submitted in the envelope with the Technical Part.
- In accordance with the Amended Procurement Act dated June 12, 2019, all bidders must be registered as a bidder in the bidderās registers to participate in procurement proceedings. Please register using the link below:
