Description
The approximately 200,000 young people aged 16-24 in New York City who are neither working nor in school would benefit from acquiring the work skills necessary for entrylevel employment. The capacity building provider would help Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act provider staff to train job developers and other placement staff, develop work readiness training, and support career exploration efforts that will direct youth toward growth occupations with opportunities for advancement. The provider would also help WIOA provider staff identify, develop, and implement programming that integrates academic instruction with the CBO's sector/occupation-specific training and work readiness training.
It is not advantageous to release an RFP right now because DYCD needs a vendor with experience/expertise to provider services for 7/1/22.
