Execution of active protection measures in nature reserves: Góra Miedzianka, Góra Rzepka. Góra Zelejowa.

The scope of active protection measures provided for all parts includes: 1. Marking of operational areas in the field indicated by the Contracting Authority in accordance with the GIS layers on which the treatments will be carried out. 2. Mowing (at a height of 10 to 15 cm above ground level) of herbaceous vegetation and shoots of trees and shrubs. Vegetation must be removed in a way that does not cause it to be shredded into small pieces, impossible to rake up. Work should be carried out manually. The use of mechanical mowers and trimmers is permitted, with the exception of devices equipped with string heads. Vehicle access to the nature reserves is not permitted, including mowing using mowers attached to agricultural tractors. 3. Cutting of trees and shrubs and their shoots concerns specimens with a trunk diameter of up to 10 cm measured at a height of 1.3 m from the ground surface: a. trees and shrubs with a diameter of 5 to 10 cm – remove at ground level, b. in the case of trees with a diameter not exceeding 5 cm, cutting should be done below the root collar; work should be done with, for example, a mountain hoe, sinking it below the ground surface, and then removing the plant or – in the case of smaller specimens, below 3 cm in diameter – it is advisable to pull them out by the roots. 4. Collection and removal of the resulting biomass outside the reserve area. 5. Cleaning up after the completion of the Task all waste left in connection with the work performed.
