Die H-Bahn (Hängebahn) ist ein vollautomatisches und begleiterloses Nahverkehrssystem mit einem Fahrweg aus Stützen und Trägern in Stahlbauweise. Die Untergurte im Innern des Hohlkastens bilden die Laufflächen für die Tragräder der Fahrwerke der Kabinen und werden gleichzeitig als Bremsflächen für die unten und oben an den Untergurten angreifenden mechanischen Bremsen genutzt.
