The purpose of the order is to select a contractor for research and development services in the field of user interface research, design, and testing (UX/UI) in the project entitled "Development of a prototype of an innovative system supporting the eco-design process of urban lighting", implemented by the Contracting Authority under grant agreement No. FENG.01.01-IP.02-0224/25 concluded with the Polish Development Agency within the framework of Measure FENG.01.01 SMART Path, Priority 1. Support for entrepreneurs, Programme European Funds for Modern Economy 2021-2027. Subject of the order The project concerns the development of a prototype of a system supporting the eco-design of urban lighting, combining spatial data, urban semantics, computational algorithms, and artificial intelligence methods, supporting the planning and optimization of lighting at the city scale. The subject of the order is research and development services covering the research, design, and testing of user interfaces for a system using complex spatial data, 2D/3D models, optimization algorithms, and design decision support modules. The commissioned works include a total of 4 work packages, related to the project's R&D tasks: Work Package I (Project Task 1, industrial research) - The Contractor shall perform the following works: 1. Identification and verification of hypotheses simplifying the data integration process from heterogeneous sources, including research on scenarios for resolving semantic and syntactic conflicts, data validation mechanisms, and data field matching rules. 2. Comparative analyses of data structures and integration points (such as: tabular files, manufacturer databases, 3D metadata) in terms of their logical consistency, integrity, and automated extraction capabilities. 3. Design of the initial logical architecture of the data import process, including individual stages: acquisition - validation - mapping - conflict detection and resolution - confirmation, along with hypotheses regarding the optimization of user interaction and graphical interface. 4. Development of innovative user interface patterns with the application of automatic field matching, correction suggestions, and manual intervention methods. 5. Definition of the semantics of microcontent and system messages. Estimated work hours required for the implementation of Package I - up to 672 hours. Work Package II (Project Task 2, industrial research) - The Contractor shall perform the following works: 1. Definition and verification of hypotheses regarding mechanisms for controlling the 3D/2D spatial scene, including orientation, element selection, and information layer management; the scope of research will also include an analysis of user interface requirements enabling effective execution of these operations in the context of complex data models. 2. Design and testing of simplified spatial data representations, i.e., LOD, simplified geometric meshes, isolines, and heat maps, along with the development of visualization prototypes enabling usability and performance analysis. 3. Modeling of user interaction scenarios, including the design of screen flows and interaction patterns for key application functions, based on previously defined functional and cognitive requirements. 4. Research and development of alternative accessibility paths. 5. Development of a catalog of visualization types along with a level of detail matrix for different data types and user scenarios. Estimated work hours required for the implementation of Package II - up to 588 hours. Work Package III (Project Task 3, development work) - The Contractor shall perform the following works: 1. Development of a component library enabling the definition and editing of optimization goals. 2. Definition of models for goals and conditions of limits, thresholds, and trade-offs in the form of UI and validation logic. 3. Design and prototype of a goal and priority creator with intuitive navigation and clear messages. 4. Validation of the consistency and interdependencies of goals, generating conflict and error messages. 5. Testing of UI states and contracts logic with the optimization module, including reporting test results. Estimated work hours required for the implementation of Package III - up to 672 hours. Work Package IV (Project Task 4, development work) - The Contractor shall perform the following works: 1. Mapping the full user path from data upload, through 3D visualization, goal definition, to result and report generation. 2. UI analysis regarding work efficiency and optimal use of individual modules (e.g., eco-design, city mapping). 3. Development and implementation of user experience improvements, including standardization of navigation and interaction patterns between modules. 4. Conducting comparative tests between user groups (benchmark by time, number of errors, task completion effectiveness). 5. Pilot A/B testing of key microinteractions (e.g., selection, validation, results comparison) and reporting of results. Estimated work hours required for the implementation of Package IV - up to 756 hours. Service performance will be settled monthly based on actual workload documented by a protocol of acceptance of performed works. The recorded workload cannot exceed the estimated number of work hours required for the implementation of a given Package without the Contracting Authority's consent. The designed interfaces and work results must take into account the principles of universal design and accessibility requirements for persons with special needs, including the WCAG 2.1 standard at least at level AA for user interface components. The Contractor will be obliged to perform the service with respect for the principles of equal opportunities and non-discrimination, including accessibility for persons with disabilities, and the principle of gender equality.
