MI-CFT26-013 Provision of charter of vessels for scientific surveys
Description
The Marine Institute invites tenders to this Call for tenders from economic operators for the provision of Services to Charter marine fishing vessel to conduct the Irish Coastal Ecosystem Survey (ICeco). This public procurement competition will be divided into four (04) Lots. Each Lot will result in a separate contract to a single provider. Each Lot will be required to provide a vessel charter to conduct an ecosystem-based survey which will collect a broad spectrum of information on the coastal areas and inshore nursery grounds, which are of key importance to a number of stakeholders, providing a baseline of information on future changes. Survey work will collect information on: Relative abundance and distribution of young fish populations; Composition of benthic communities across different habitats; Abiotic environmental information such as temperature, salinity, conductivity and litter; In addition, the survey will be a platform of opportunity to tag long lived species such as rays and skates.
