Description
The Department of Health seeks to initiate a Request for Tender to engage a suitable building contractor for the construction of the new Northern Mental Health Precinct at the Launceston General Hospital, 52 Frankland Street, South Launceston ('LGH'). The new precinct will feature a mental health in-patient unit to replace the current Northside Unit in the LGH main campus and provide essential community mental health services including a 30-bed dedicated urgent care unit, a Recovery College and a Safe Haven. The Northern Mental Health Precinct is being delivered as part of 'Stage Two' of the broader Launceston General Hospital Precinct Masterplan.
