Description
The City of Airdrie (the โCityโ) invites proposals from qualified and experienced vendors to supply, configure, deploy, and support an AIโbased Adaptive Traffic Signal Control Pilot Project along a selected corridor within the City.
The purpose of this pilot is to transition from conventional time of day (TOD) signal timing plans to a real time adaptive control strategy that leverages the Cityโs existing traffic signal infrastructure, including Intelight controllers and video-based detection systems (Econolite and Iteris). The pilot project aims to improve traffic operations, reduce delays, enhance network performance, and evaluate scalability for future city-wide expansion.
