Description
The Shannon Park Phase 1 - Underground Site Servicing and Surface Works Project comprises enabling civil, remediation, and horizontal infrastructure works within defined Phase 1 limits to support phased redevelopment of the Shannon Park lands and future vertical construction. The work generally includes site preparation and earthworks (clearing/grubbing, excavation, grading, backfill, and compaction), remediation activities within identified areas, and decommissioning of existing underground and above ground services to facilitate installation of new infrastructure.
Phase 1 also includes installation of new underground servicing systems (water, sanitary, and stormโincluding appurtenances and connections), roadway and collector corridor construction (granular base, curbs, paving, and associated items such as street lighting and signage), and associated surface works (sidewalks/accessibility elements, markings, restoration, and landscaping) as required within the Phase 1 limits. The Project includes coordination with key municipal/third-party interfaces and constraints, which may include major tie-in locations, a railway corridor interface/crossing, and potential future district energy infrastructure considerations, as applicable.
