Instrumentation and Monitoring
Description
The scope of works for this package includes:
• Supply, installation, and commissioning of ground and ground-water monitoring instrumentation systems
• Data acquisition and telemetry for transmission to a Client owned database and visualisation platform (This package of work does not include provision of the database)
• All instrumentation is expected to be battery or solar powered
• Compliance with relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements
• Joint Ventures/Alliances will be considered
Packages of work area as follows:
InSAR Satellite
• Provision of historical data to cover the area of Sizewell B and Sizewell C.
• Provision of multi-directional coverage and analysis of the Sizewell B and Sizewell C area until 2036 (period maybe extended).
Unit 1 and 2 Plastic Wall Monitoring
• Commence September 2026, end June 2027
• Drilling of approx. 200nr installation boreholes to a depth of 55m below ground level
• Installation of IPI, IPIX, VWP and GNSS positional location monitoring
Unit 1 and 2 Retaining Walls
• Commence September 2026, end January 2028.
• Installation in void formers at 200nr locations
• Installation of IPI, IPIX, strain gauges and GNSS positional location monitoring
Shafts and Tunnels
• Commence May 2027, end December 2027.
• Installation in void formers at 50nr locations
• Installation of IPI, IPIX, strain gauges and GNSS positional location monitoring
Backfill Specification
• Commence September 2027, end January 2029.
• Installation under main nuclear islands
• Installation of horizontal Inclinometers/SAA, hydraulic settlement cells and extensometers
Provision of Maintenance Team
• Commence September 2026, end December 2036 (maybe extended.
• Provision of maintenance services to ensure operation of i. CPV: Instrumentation and control equipment (31682210)
