Description
The aim of the contract is to facilitate the monitoring of night active moths that will be undertaken by Member States in the framework of the Nature Restoration Regulation. For this purpose, the contract will: (1) improve the accuracy and species coverage of artificial intelligence-based image recognition as a means of identifying night active moths to the species level, and (2) develop capacity building activities in order to enhance the taxonomic expertise for moths in Member States, where it is currently lacking.
