Description
Central Highlands Regional Council (CHRC) is seeking suitably qualified contractors to provide mattress processing or shredding services at Council waste management facilities.
The successful contractor will be required to process accumulated mattress stockpiles and provide ongoing processing services during the contract term. Services may include either the mechanical separation of mattress components (e.g. steel, foam, and textiles) for resource recovery, or mechanical shredding of mattresses to reduce volume prior to landfill disposal.
The Contractor will be responsible for providing all required plant, equipment, labour, and operational capability, including loading, handling, and feeding mattresses into processing equipment.
The primary service location is Lochlees Landfill in Emerald, Queensland, with potential works also occurring at Blackwater Landfill and Tieri Landfill where mattress stockpiles may arise.
