Surface Water Treatment Plant Filter Media Replacement & Improvements
Description
Gloucester County operates and maintains a 2 mgd surface water treatment plant near Beaverdam Reservoir providing drinking water to a majority of the countyâs residents and businesses. The County is looking to replace the filter media for the two (2) 13.5â x 13.5â (182 sq ft) filtration basins as well as replacing 2 x 18â flangedbutterfly valves for the filter influent and 4 x 14â mud valves (with extension shafts and 2â square operating nuts) for theclarifier effluent channel. Addtionally, two (2) new stop gate systems shall be installed in the clarifier effluent troughs.Under one prime contract, Gloucester County is seeking bids from qualified firm(s) experienced with the work requiredfor this project.
