University of Calgary - Advanced Contract Award Notice / Notice of Proposed Procurement - High Fidelity Simulation Manikin
Description
The University of Calgary (UCalgary) intends to purchase the SimMan Essential patient simulators, including operating software, consumables, accessories, extended warranty & service plans, and education and PM certification courses from Laerdal Medical Canada Ltd. To maintain full compatibility, operational efficiency, and continuity of training, Faculty of Nursing Clinical Simulation Learning Centre (CSLC) requires new SimMan Essential simulators to replace aging units. The SimMan Essential is a new generation adult, male patient simulator designed to support simulation-based training across airway, breathing, cardiac and circulation management in nursing care education. Additionally, these new simulators are fully compatible with existing simulation designs and themes without requiring additional programming, ensuring continuity in meeting curricular objectives and training consistency. The SimMan simulator is highly realistic and clinically relevant and will integrate seamlessly into CSLCโs operations and curriculum. It is the learning centreโs understanding that only Laerdalโs product is capable of meeting their operational and educational needs.
