Job description

Aninver Development Partners SL (www.aninver.com) is looking for a Local Ecosystem Facilitator - Rwanda for a finance, ict, health consultancy assignment financed by UNDP in Rwanda.

Aninver Development Partners is seeking a Local Ecosystem Facilitator for Rwanda to support local stakeholder engagement, ecosystem coordination, and on-the-ground implementation for an upcoming UNDP-backed pan-African startup acceleration initiative. The programme focuses on strengthening innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystems, mobilizing capital, and scaling early-stage ventures in the finance, ICT, and health sectors.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between local innovation actors, entrepreneurs, and the broader continental programme architecture. Operating in Rwanda, the expert will facilitate in-country delivery, stakeholder alignment, and ecosystem activation to ensure the seamless execution of capacity-building academies, venture selection processes, and ecosystem engagement events.

Aninver is preparing a proposal for this assignment. The selected expert will be part of the proposed team; the engagement is conditional on the contract being awarded to Aninver. The full Terms of Reference for the position are shared with shortlisted candidates.

  • Facilitate connections between participating ventures, local investors, corporates, and ecosystem actors.
  • Assist in monitoring local programme execution and feeding results data into the overall monitoring and evaluation framework.

Your role as Local Ecosystem Facilitator - Rwanda

  • Act as the primary on-the-ground liaison between the core management team, local stakeholders, and participating ventures in Rwanda.
  • Coordinate local stakeholder engagement, meetings, and networking sessions with ecosystem actors, mentors, and investors.
  • Support the execution of in-country academies, pitch days, activation weeks, and AI rapid-prototyping build sprints.
  • Assist with local logistics, venue coordination, and administrative preparations for programme events in close collaboration with the operations team.
  • Facilitate communication channels with local founders, tracking engagement and participation during programme phases.
  • Contribute local insights and context to country reports, progress updates, and data collection activities.

Requirements

  • Professional experience in entrepreneurship, innovation, programme management, or ecosystem development.
  • Strong familiarity with the local innovation and startup landscape in Rwanda.
  • Excellent written and spoken English; proficiency in local languages is a strong asset.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage diverse stakeholders including founders, investors, corporates, and public institutions.
