Local Facilitator - Ghana

Aninver Development Partners SL (www.aninver.com) is looking for a Local Facilitator - Ghana for a trade consultancy assignment financed by TradeMark Africa in Ghana.

Aninver Development Partners SL is currently seeking an expert for the position of Local Facilitator - Ghana to contribute to an upcoming trade consultancy initiative supported by TradeMark Africa. This vital regional project focuses on addressing critical bottlenecks along major West African trade corridors to enhance regional integration, economic growth, and overall trade facilitation.

As part of the project team, the Local Facilitator will play an essential role in supporting local stakeholder coordination, logistics, and administrative arrangements during field missions in Ghana. Working closely with regional economic communities, national trade facilitation committees, and public and private sector stakeholders, this expert will ensure the smooth operational execution of the assignment.

Aninver is preparing a proposal for this assignment. The selected expert will be part of the proposed team; the engagement is conditional on the contract being awarded to Aninver. The full Terms of Reference for the position are shared with shortlisted candidates.

Objectives of the assignment

• Support local stakeholder coordination and engagement across government, regional institutions, and private sector actors in Ghana.
• Facilitate logistics and administrative arrangements for international and national expert field missions.
• Contribute to the smooth implementation of business process reviews and trade facilitation activities on the ground.

Scope of work

• Mapping end-to-end trade, transport, and transit processes, procedures, and data flows along the trade corridors.
• Assisting in the organisation of stakeholder consultations, workshops, and meetings with public and private sector actors.
• Supporting regulatory and legal reviews by gathering local documentation and facilitating institutional contacts.
• Assisting digital systems assessments through local coordination with customs and trade information portal operators.
• Helping identify administrative, operational, and physical bottlenecks via local field insights and stakeholder feedback.
• Contributing to the development of actionable quick wins and implementation roadmaps.

Your role as Local Facilitator - Ghana

• Manage local logistical arrangements for expert missions, field visits, and stakeholder workshops in Ghana.
• Coordinate closely with local authorities, national trade facilitation committees, and private sector representatives.
• Provide administrative support to the core team to ensure timely and compliant project execution.
• Assist in scheduling meetings, preparing logistical briefs, and documenting stakeholder interactions.
• Support data collection efforts and the dissemination of project findings to relevant local stakeholders.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in coordinating multiple stakeholders across government, regional institutions, and the private sector.
• Strong local knowledge of the trade, transport, and logistics environment in Ghana.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
• Strong writing, reporting, and data analytical skills.
• Fluency in the official working language of the country.
• National of, or based in, the project country

Desirable

• Previous experience working on donor-funded trade facilitation or regional integration projects.
• Established networks with key public and private trade actors in Ghana.

An organised and proactive local professional with strong stakeholder engagement experience in Ghana's trade and logistics sector, capable of seamlessly coordinating field operations for regional development initiatives.
