The activities include: Dismantling works for the removal of existing compromised street pavements Preparation of the work area for laying new pavements The areas of the space will be made of asphalt pavement of dense asphalt concrete with a thickness of 6 cm. They are bordered by concrete curbs 15/25 cm on a concrete base towards the green areas. The sidewalk pavements are made of vibrated concrete pavers / slabs / type "behaton" with a thickness of 6 cm. on a drainage sand layer, compacted in layers up to 10 cm and a layer of wedged crushed stone (crushed stone pavement) with a grain size composition of 0÷40 mm. All existing utility shafts must be adjusted to the level of the newly laid pavements and their covers must be replaced with new cast-iron ones. The technological process for the construction of asphalt layers includes the following stages: Base preparation. Laying of the asphalt mixture. Compaction of the asphalt mixture. The base must be accepted by the Contracting Authority. It must be cleaned of dust, mud and other contaminants with brushes and brooms. Immediately after the surface preparation, a bitumen emulsion is applied by a sprayer working under pressure. The asphalt mixture must be laid according to the required thickness and evenness, reaching the design levels, as indicated in the working drawings and bills of quantities.
