Organization of a system for separate collection, acceptance, transport, subsequent treatment and disposal of hazardous household waste in the territory of the Sofia Municipality

The subject of the order includes the collection, acceptance and transport of hazardous household waste and its subsequent treatment. The main groups of hazardous household waste within the scope of the order are as follows: 1. Mercury and mercury-containing appliances - mercury, mercury thermometers and other mercury-containing appliances, excluding fluorescent lamps: • 20 01 21* - Fluorescent tubes and other mercury-containing waste; 2. Lacquer and paint materials – emulsions and lacquers; polishes and varnishes; solvents and thinners for paint; turpentine, etc.: • 20 01 27* - paints, inks, adhesives and resins containing hazardous substances; • 20 01 13* - solvents; 3. Household detergents and chemicals – cleaning agents, bleach, disinfectants, deodorants, acids, bases, reagents, etc.: • 20 01 29* - washing and cleaning mixtures containing hazardous substances; • 20 01 19* - pesticides; • 20 01 17* - photographic chemicals and mixtures; • 20 01 15* - bases • 20 01 14* - acids; 4. Inks, contaminated packaging, etc.: • 20 01 27* - paints, inks, adhesives and resins containing hazardous substances, • 15 01 10* - packaging containing residues of hazardous substances or contaminated with hazardous substances 5. Pharmaceutical products – expired medicines: • 20 01 31* - cytotoxic and cytostatic medicines. 6. Other hazardous waste, disposed of in household waste bins or on municipal property, whose composition, quantity and properties pose a risk to human health and the environment (in cases of unidentified, unknown origin) The estimated volume of hazardous household waste intended for collection, acceptance and transport is approximately 59 tons.
