Description

1.The National Drainage and Irrigation Authority, Ministry of Agriculture invites bids from suitably qualified and experienced bidders to undertake the following project: Construction of Control Structure at Cove and John, East Coast Demerara, Region No.4 (EE$24,441,700) 2. Bidding will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding (NCB) procedures, specified in the Procurement Act 2003. 3. Interested eligible bidders may inspect the Bidding Documents and obtain further information from the Procurement Office, National Drainage and Irrigation Authority during normal working hours. 4. Bid documents will be available from 16th September, 2026, and can be uplifted from the office of the National Drainage and Irrigation Authority, cashier’s cage Finance Building, Ministry of Agriculture, Regent Street and Vlissengen Road, Georgetown upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Three Thousand Dollars ($3,000) in favor of National Drainage and Irrigation Authority for each bid document. 5. Bids shall be submitted in a plain sealed envelope bearing no identification of the Bidder and marked on the top left-hand corner “Tender for __________________”. Bids shall be addressed to: The Chairman National Procurement and Tender Administration Board Ministry of Finance Main and Urquhart Streets Georgetown and deposited in the tender box at the above address no later than 09:00 hours on Thursday 08th October, 2026 Submit one (1) original (in paper) and 2 electronic copies (flash drive only) with an exact PDF version of the paper tender. Ensure the envelopes of the original (in paper) and the 2 electronic copies are identically labeled. The 2 electronic copies (flash drive) should be placed in a smaller envelope and properly affixed to the original paper submission. will be opened in the presence of those bidders or their representatives who choose to attend at 09:00 hours on Thursday 08th October, 2026 in the boardroom of the National Procurement and Tender Administration Board, Ministry of Finance at the above address. 6. All bids must be accompanied by valid certificates of compliance from the Manager of the National Insurance Scheme and the Commissioner of the Guyana Revenue Authority. 7. All bids must be accompanied by a bid security amounting to the value specified in the bid document. 8. The National Procurement and Tender Administration, Ministry of Finance reserves the right to reject any or all bids without assigning any reason whatsoever and not necessarily to award to the lowest bid.
