Die Heizzentrale versorgt über ein kleines Fernwärmenetz die umliegenden Gebäude auf dem Gelände. Neben der Ertüchtigung der Zentrale müssen teilweise neue Fernwärmeleitungen installiert und neue Hausanschlüsse mit Übergabestation hergestellt werden.
