31170140: Realization of KRW Tidal Nature Scheur

Rijkswaterstaat (the Dutch Directorate-General for Public Works and Water Management) has awarded a contract for the realization of 31 hectares of intertidal nature area within the Scheur region, as part of the Water Framework Directive (KRW) program. The project involves constructing longitudinal dams and ecologically friendly banks in the hinterland at two locations: Rozenburg and De Zaayer (Maassluis). At Rozenburg, approximately 3.1 km of longitudinal dams will be built, along with ecological landscaping of the adjacent area. At De Zaayer, 1 km of longitudinal dams will be constructed, also accompanied by ecological landscaping.
