Opdrachtgever: Rijkswaterstaat Grote Projecten en Onderhoud
De provincie Noord-Brabant en de bestuurlijke regio Eindhoven willen de files rondom Eindhoven verminderen door meer werknemers per bus naar hun werkplek te vervoeren. Deze bussen rijden voornamelijk in de spits. Om te voorkomen dat deze bussen in de file terecht komen, wilen de provincie en Rijkswaterstaat de bussen in beide richtingen tussen afslag 15 ‘Nistelrode’ en knooppunt Ekkersrijt bij files de mogelijkheid bieden om over de vluchtstrook van de A50 laten rijden. Om dit mogelijk te maken dient Rijkwaterstaat volgens haar eigen kaders onder andere vluchthavens en bus-doorsteken aangebracht te worden. De vluchthavens dienen voorzien te worden van verlichting. De vigerende aanbesteding voorziet in deze vereisten.
