Het project Verbeteren wateraanvoer Noordervaart heeft als doel het realiseren van een robuust en toekomstbestendig waterhuishoudkundig systeem rondom Sluis 15, waarmee de wateraanvoer richting zowel de Noordervaart als de Zuid-Willemsvaart wordt vergroot. De opdracht wordt in twee fasen uitgevoerd: een bouwteamfase voor de gezamenlijke uitwerking van ontwerp en voorbereiding van de uitvoering (Fase 1), gevolgd door de realisatiefase (Fase 2). De werkzaamheden bestaan hoofdzakelijk uit het vervangen van verouderde en versleten kunstwerken, het vergroten van de afvoercapaciteit onder vrij verval en het realiseren van maatregelen voor extra watertoevoer. Voor de Noordervaart betreft dit aanpassingen en groot onderhoud ten behoeve van droogtebestrijding in de Peelregio.
