1. The Government of the Republic of Burundi has received financing from the World Bank to finance the Project to Support the Improvement of Skills and Employability of Women and Youth "PACEJ", and intends to apply part of this financing to make payments under Tender No. BI-PACEJ-548995-GO-RFB for the Acquisition of complementary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for the third cohort. For this contract, disbursement by Direct Payment, as defined in the World Bank's Disbursement Guidelines for Investment Project Financing, will be required under this contract.

The procurement of the Contract will be conducted through National Competitive Bidding (NCB), as defined in the "Procurement Regulations for Investment Project Financing Borrowers (IPF)", namely "Procurement in Investment Project Financing (IPF): Goods, Works, Non-Consulting Services and Consulting Services, dated February 2025", and open to all eligible country bidders as defined in said Regulations.
4. CC 13721 opened at the Bank of the Republic of Burundi (BRB) in the name of "PACEJ" and 50% to account No. 1101/001.04 opened at the Bank of the Republic of Burundi in the name of the Burundi Revenue Office (OBR).
