Für die Anbindung des Wärmeverbunds Freiburg West an die zukünftige Geothermie Wärmeversorgung ist die Fernwärmeleitung entlang der Tel-Aviv-Yafo-Allee ausschlaggebend. In diesem Bauabschnitt wird die bereits bestehende Fernwärmeleitung aus der Kreuzung Tel-Aviv-Yafo-Allee / Adelheit-Steinmann-Straße weitergeführt. Die Fernwärmeleitung führt entlang der Tel-Aviv-Yafo-Allee bis über die Opfinger Straße. Im Bereich des Geländes der VAG knickt die Fernwärmeleitung auf das Gelände der VAG ab und endet im Bereich der Zufahrt zur VAG an der Opfinger Straße. Es sind insgesamt 730 m Fernwärmeleitung als Einzelrohr zu bauen. Der Hauptteil der Rohrleitung wird in DN300 als Kunststoffmantelrohr (KMR) Einzelrohr ausgeführt. Entlang der Tel-Aviv-Yafo-Allee ist ein verdolter Graben zu queren als auch zwei kleinere Kanäle und der Abwasserhauptsammler in DN3040. Je nach Bauabschnitt ist die Fernwärme in Sand oder Flüssigboden zu betten. Es ist zu beachten, dass mehrere Kolonnen parallel, bzw. versetzt hintereinander arbeiten sollen. Zur Querung der Straßenbahngleise im Bereich der Opfinger Straße soll ein Pressbohrverfahren zum Einsatz kommen.
