Procurement of a sales and subscription system for VER

Verkehrsgesellschaft Ennepe-Ruhr mbH (VER) is a regionally operating transport company and a partner in the Rhein-Ruhr transport association (VRR). As a mobility service provider and transport company, VER ensures efficient local public transport that connects the cities of the Ennepe-Ruhr district and links them to the region. As the existing sales system is at the end of its product life cycle and can no longer be upgraded economically to (((etiCORE, VER has decided to procure a new, future-oriented sales and subscription system that also takes into account ongoing digitalization. The new system must manage over 20,000 customers with subscriptions (general public subscriptions, job tickets, and school tickets, including the Deutschlandticket) and EBE incidents, ensure ticket issuance as a VDV-KA chip card and barcode (Motics), and be upgradeable to (((etiCORE. Payments are to be made via direct debit as well as debit and credit cards (payment service providers). Web portals will provide easy online access for all customers (including students or their legal guardians for applying for student tickets). Furthermore, corporate customer portals for companies (job tickets) and cost units, as well as schools, will be provided with the aim of digitizing as many processes as possible. In addition, the new sales system is to be operated in an external data center as a PaaS solution (Platform-as-a-service). Further components of the project include the transfer of the active customer base from the old system (data migration), the interface to the mass personalizer, and the delivery of personalization units (chip card printers and chip card writing devices) and software maintenance.
