BKP 359.0 Floor Slab - New Construction of Oberdorf Indoor Swimming Pool

The City of Dübendorf is undertaking the construction of a new indoor swimming pool located at Oberdorfstrasse 23, 8600 Dübendorf, on the site of the existing outdoor pool. This project involves a replacement new build situated within the current outdoor pool infrastructure. By integrating indoor and outdoor swimming facilities at a single location, the aim is to create an appealing facility primarily benefiting the local population. Furthermore, the new indoor pool is intended to provide sufficient capacity for swimming lessons and sports activities for schools and clubs in the long term. The co-location of indoor and outdoor pools is expected to yield significant operational and technical advantages and synergies, leading to more economical management of both facilities. These synergies with the existing outdoor pool will be leveraged as much as is practical and sensible. While the outdoor pool itself is not part of this specific planning scope, the new construction will interact with existing structures and swimming basins. A key objective is an energy concept characterized by high ecological standards and economic efficiency, with a focus on an energy-efficient building envelope. The specific goals for the building and pool technology include: striving for a model function as part of "Energiestadt Dübendorf" (Energy City Dübendorf), implementing ecologically and economically sound heat generation, utilizing efficient ventilation units, pumps, and other equipment, delivering an economically exemplary project with low life-cycle costs, and aiming for Minergie-P and Minergie standards for the indoor pool, although certification is not mandatory.
