De opdracht betreft de uitvoering van fase II van de bodemsanering Blekerijweg te IJsselmuiden en richt zich op de sanering van de verontreiniging in de kwelzone in de Koekoekspolder. In dit gebied treedt verontreinigd grondwater (met name cis-1,2-dichlooretheen en vinylchloride) uit naar het ondiepe grondwater en het oppervlaktewater, wat leidt tot gebruiksbeperkingen en overschrijding van milieukwaliteitsnormen.
Doel van de opdracht is het terugbrengen van de concentraties van deze verontreinigingen tot de terugsaneerwaarden zoals vastgelegd in het vergunde saneringsplan, door het realiseren en in stand houden van een saneringssysteem op basis van in-situ bodemsanering.
